NMIC submitted a petition requesting an accurate investigation to President Clinton and had a demonstration.

Sim Kyu-chul, a member of National Assembly got signatures from 36 National Assemblymen and submitted a resolution that urged a fast solution to the Nogun-ri incident.

Detailed investigation of Nogun-ri incident site was conducted by Ministry of Defense NIIT.

July 26, 2000

2nd memorial service for the victims of Nogun-ri incident was held.

Petitions urging the investigation of Nogun-ri incident and compensation to the victims were submitted to the presidents of Korea and the U.S.

Human Right Forum of National Assembly and NMIC jointly held a symposium titled 'A symposium on the truth of Nogun-ri incident and solutions'.

A working level meeting on Nogun-ri Incident between Korea and the U.S. was held and a demonstration was held by NMIC.

NMIC met high ranking American officials working on the Nogun-ri incident(Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of State, Charles Henry and others). (Delivered the collection of papers from Nogun-ri symposium)

A resolution to settle the Nogun-ri incident fast was passed at the plenary session of National Assembly as petitioned by NMIC.
